In the conclusion of "Trial by Fire," Nanase has a repressed memory about the night her house burned down that comes back to her in the form of a dream. When she wakes up she thinks she sees Firebug in her bedroom, but at second glance she is alone... though her window is mysteriously open. Then Nanase has another arson case to solve revolving around a dysfunctional family and its hefty inheritance. And finally, when a bank goes up in flames, it seems the perpetrator might be tied directly to Firebug. Will their conncetion reveal the master arsonist's identity?
