Teenager Recca Hanabishi is always up for a good-natured tussle with his friends. That's because he's famous at school and around town for being a super ninja geek. Armed with the power to control flame, Recca suddenly finds himself in an awkward situation. On the day he pledges his undying ninja allegiance to a pretty classmate named Yanagi Sakoshita, a mysterious older woman pops into his life. Is she good? Is she evil? What exactly does she want? And what's the deal with tomboy, Fuko Kirisawa? She's got the power of wind at her command. Does she want to smash our hero to smithereens, or does she simply want to kiss him?

I got this book a while ago but when I put my review in it didn't show up. This manga is definetely a great buy. The reason it's better than the t.v. series is because in the series Recca finds out later on that he had his special power. Unlike in the manga he knew about his powers from the begging. But anyway this was an awesome manga. The way I found out about this manga was when I was looking in Walden Books and saw it near the Naruto mangas. I asked my brother what it was and he told me it was good. I heard the name before too so I bought it for fun it turns out that I loved it!

I never really knew of the book until I walked into Waldenbooks and saw the cover. I HAVE heard the name a couple times before but I never really thought anything of it, I thought it wouldn't be that good. When I was in there I just said what the hell and bought it to see why people talked about it and I found out that it WAS an awesome book !!!!! It was incredible and I insist on buying this book !!! ^.~

I wanted to get the manga in japanese because the American companies didn't release it in english yet. I went to an anime convention this weekend and lo and behold there it was, in english no less! I picked up my copy right away and loved it! The anime convention was Conneticonn in west hartford connecticut which was a blast providing it was my first anime convention!
