exactly what it looks like. with a beautiful finish and nice detailed japanese characters engraved around the center. the pouch is a nice addition and if you're buying any shuriken that don't come with pouches, a few will fit nicely in this one only problem was there were some small rough areas on the shuriken where the dying agent (or whatever was used for the rainbow finish) seemed to rust at the metal, but hopefully that was only on mine and won't be a problem on most other ones. and it's barely noticeable, anyway
