The end of the world is fast approaching, in the form of a giant asteroid on a collision course with Earth. Not if Goku has anything to say about it! Goku and Krillin race to the rescue. Using their incredible powers, they narrowly deflect the asteroid from its deadly course. The Earth is saved...or is it? A dark vessel descends from the surface of the asteroid, carrying a powerful new enemy--the evil overlord, Lord Slug. His forces have come to take control of the Earth and steal its natural resources, only in the process they intend to wipe out the entire human race! And when Lord Slug discovers the seven magic Dragon Balls, it seems nothing can stop his diabolical plans from coming to pass! Now that Lord Slug has the power of the Dragon Balls in his grasp, can even Goku save the Earth from the clutches of this mysterious invader?

Okay i am a huge DBZ fan but this movie was a complete disapointment Son Goku did not turn into a Super Saiyan it was just a highly powerful Kaio-Ken attack also Lord Slug was supposed to be a Super Namek? No Way! Because his power level was high but Piccolo becomes a Super Namek as well in the DBZ series and his power level surpasses Lord Slug by miles no way he became a Super Namek overall this DBZ feature film was a no no LAME!

In the first DBZ film done by the new vocal cast I have to say they did an excellent job. The reason why I only gave this film four stars isn't because of the acting or quality of the DVD, but the story itself. Most DBZ fans know that the movies don't blend in with the series story, but Goku going Super Saiyan without his hair going gold, now that's just wrong. Slug can turn into a Super Namek, but considering how strong Piccolo becomes later on the series how come he doesn't learn how to do it? Oh well, the action in the movie was good so no major complaints here. The plot itself is easy to predict, but if you think about it DBZ itself is easy to predict. The action is what keeps the fans interested and this movie does just that.
