Happiness could be a fleeting thing for our two new high school sweethearts Yukino and Arima. With their hearts flying high, the couple has been spending a lot of time together. Finally the public masks of perfection that they've both maintained for so long are beginning to fall, but so are their grades. When the latest round of scores is posted, Yukino is mortified to discover that she's slipped all the way to 13th! She's not the only one that's angry - so are her teachers. When Yukino and Arima are dragged before their guidance counselor to explain their poor grades, the administration is determined that the pair stop seeing each other. Could this mean the end of their newfound love forever? Contain Episodes 7 - 11

Please give me more Asapin! That's what the world really needs. And more kare kano. The characters are great, the animation is great. What more do you need? I feel like I can identify with what alot of these characters are going through. It's very realistic. Not like that other Gainax stuff. (ahem) The DVDS are REALLY GOOD. The translation notes are really helpful and the subtitles are amazing. Considering how much they have to subtitle, it's a wonder the translators and encoders didn't roll over and die. Plus there are five eppisodes on this DVD, bilingual and a good dub to boot. I give it five stars and two thumbs way way up.

From the masters of Evangelion, Kareshi Kanojyo no Jijyo (otherwise known as His and Her Circumstances) flawlessly points out a part of life usually overlooked by society - High School. Most anime either plays up, plays down, or just doesn't even represent the lives of teens in high school - and all the troubles they face. The characters have complex layers - which are shown and peeled away. The combination of both fluid animation, with the raw form of manga, (along with some experimental mediums used by GAINAX) decripts one boy and one girl, and the basis of their lives and how they meet and blossom. Being that this is the second volume of this fantastic series, this DVD plays without a hitch. All the signs and subtext can be shown and translated. A wonderful show, and I can't wait until the other volumes are released so I can have one huge Kare Kano fest. Each episode is a cliffhanger - making it a enjoyable soap opera, (without all the melodrama and who slept with whom).

This is a really good anime, it balances really well for the warm-fuzzy partsd to parts with a good amount of character development and humor. Asaba, one of my favorite characters; furthers his ability to act stupid, Yukino and Arima are more lovy-dovey, andsome new characters are introed in one of the best animes I've seen out of the many.

This is a sappy love anime, picking up right where the first volume left off. It is a wonderful continuation of the first disc, further deepening Yukino and Arima's relationship with unexpected twist and turns and interducing new friends (and enemies). This anime is WAY sappy and filled with "lubby dubby" scences that touch your heart so make sure you watch it with that special someone, like I did (best 23 bucks I've spent in a long time!). It's never dull (although the long speeches tend to get tedoius when it is nether Arima or Yukino) for long, and the character development is deep. Each character is rich and has something that drives them for reasons you'll think are obvoius and reasons you'll not expect. :)

I loved the first DVD and I loved the second!!! The love story between Yukina and Arima countines with trouble along the way. While most of the episodes concentrate on Yukina more than Arima, there are plenty of new discovers for the two high school lovers. I definately would buy it you don't already have it. It's the best anime since Evangelion!
